When I saw the prompt for Linda Hill’s #SoCS it gave me a chuckle. I mean, who doesn’t love bodily functions? After I considered the amusing possibilities I decided to wait until the day unfolded. I knew we would have an adventure of some kind; and well, my body would be functioning for most of it, right?
My heart has been longing to see this new film and it did not disappoint. Can you guess which bodily functions were working during the movie? No, you scoundrels, not those. 🙄
Laughter and tears, that’s what. And so many moments nudged them out. This is a great feel good film. Disney does it every time. We can all benefit from Pooh’s wisdom. Especially a Piglet like me. 😊 See the movie and be rejuvenated. If you haven’t read A. A. Milne’s classic book you should.
Now, I know the title of this post wasn’t tears and laughter, so…..
After the movie we were hungry so we headed to mid-town for a Burger Quest. I called our son for a recommendation and he suggested Grindhouse Killer Burgers and even met us there to spend time with the ‘old folks’!

On my new scale for measuring a burger’s worth-The Wahl-O-Meter (named for my favorite Wahlburger), this one gets a strong 9.5! Pure yumminess and terrific service.
We try to plan ahead so we popped over to the local bakery to pick up breakfast goodies. Of course, one might choose to have something for dessert…later on…maybe.
I hope your day has included some fun quests! Seize the #Free48!
What is that svedka vanilla vodka? Is ‘svedka’ a brand? In my language, švedska means Swedish. Is that it?

You’re killin’ me here! I love the wisdom of Pooh and friends. I also love onion rings and chocolate…. . I’m looking forward to seeing the movie. Thanks for sharing.

Except for the too sweet chocolate glaze it was tasty. One indulgent thing I used to enjoy was Pinwheel cookies. Something about the marshmallow and chocolate.

Oh that burger looks yummy! I’d have ordered the El Duderino too.
Dessert or the Breakfast options look positively sinful -delicious!

Thanks Deborah. I did enjoy eavery bite. I still prefer my own baked goodies since I can control the sugary taste. I prefer more chocolate than most commercial products give. But as donuts go, this bakery does a fine job with the dough.

OMG, OF COURSE YOU GOT THE EL DUDERINO! Everything looks fabulous! I’m glad Christopher Robin was good. Disney is brilliant (if brilliant is the word I want) at rebooting its franchises.

Let’s say they are diligent in reproducing the original feel good product into a modern venue. The writer of those books was definitely inspired and I guess that qualifies as brilliance. Yep, brilliant indeed. Pooh’s voice alone can make me tear up. 🙂

Cheryl, that’s good looking food! Geez, wish I could indulge in some of it, but….gluten free and aging. But, I love plain vegetables, and plain turkey burgers! Really!? : ( 🤨😟😉 Christine (I did see the movie and loved it! 😍)

I know what you mean Christine. My daily doet is not nearly so indulgent. Also, half the menu was missing from the photo. They have vegan and veggie options and gluten free buns available as well!

Thought so, Cheryl! You look in really good shape, so careful about what you eat! 📚Christine

Thanks Christine. I’ve for the most part given up sugar, wheat and white flours and enjoy my fresh berries and nuts.

Wow, it doesn’t get much better than that. That burger looked good, as did the description of this shakes. Looks like #free48 part-1 was a success. I hope part-2 goes as well.

We’ve been rained out, but I did some unexpected shopping. I took my camera in to be cleaned. It was going to cost almost as much as I paid for it. I ended up buying a new camera.

That’s terrible about the cost to clean your camera. What kind did you end up with? My son just got a new Sony. 48 MP. 😱I can’t wait to see your photos. 😀

I think I’m going to write about this tomorrow. I ended up with a Canon PowerShot SX730. It’s missing some features I liked about the Nikon, but it has some features I like better. It’s about the same quality image (20.3 mp) but a better optical zoom (40x vs. 30x). It will take some getting used to, but I have it for at least three years, so…

I hope you enjoy it. I love having a new digital camera to explore but it takes adjustment to navigate. Good luck!
