Yesterday was Earth Day. How many people noticed amidst the rhetoric surrounding the Covid19 epidemic along with all of its political implications? I saw few posts or mentions of it. It was also my grandson’s birthday. He was supposed to be visiting us for the first time this month but now that is not possible.
We have to pay attention now. We are stewards of God’s Earth which is suffering at this time with the threat of every protection put into place being revoked.
Do you enjoy the sunshine, the cool breeze on a Spring day, the blooming flowers and the bounty of the Earth? Then pay attention! We are all responsible.
Check out my post On Blogger for some of the things we might miss should we continue to ignore our responsibility.
Staying alive is primary but will do us no good without a home to live on.
Take care my friends.

Everyone recycles in the land of Pura Vida!
Or…..
Gotta find a home! Crabs who take up plastic houses help to save the planet.
Please. Don’t toss your debris away carelessly. Costa Rica even has recycle bins at the beach!
There are a lot of living things depending on our wisdom.
why don’t we give her more reasons to rejoice? How beautiful could the world be then? 🙂
Elusive, ephemeral..
The tease
oh please!
By heaven’s grace
let me see your face!
My soul and yours…
We glow in night’s embrace,
but disappear without a trace
when the sun shows Its face-
too soon forgotten.
Life’s moments,
like dewdrops
cling
to silken webs-
iridescent pearls,
the Spinner’s homage to
Mother Nature-
breathtaking,
heartbreaking,
fragile.

The Super Moon was gorgeous but with the rain clouds, the light kept shifting, making it nearly impossible to get the shot I wanted. These were the best she would allow.
At times I trudge through my life, sometimes with steps as light as air, yet often as though pulling lead balls chained to my ankles; still, I find constant comfort in the face of Nature. We have had a dreary sort of Winter, although the holidays were bright and full. The unrest in the world is palpable, carried on the chilly wind and hanging in the raindrops that seem endless on every weekend that comes around here in Georgia.
Yesterday was a reprieve and I was determined to find solace in the free blessings and gifts of Mother Earth. The message in her soul is always the same, so clear and encouraging, sometimes more so in those arenas made by humans to showcase her handiwork.
We are here!!!
Each face is as unique as our own, their expression and exuberance so real you can almost hear their voices singing for the change of season. I believe Nature’s joy in Spring is contagious. Can you hear them?
Spring tiptoes in on velvet slippers,
Peering around dark corners and waiting in the shadows,
lest the jealous heart of Jack Frost linger to nip her nose
or sting her toes…
Would that I could soar and fly
on dragon wings into the sky.
the bees might envy me-
I say…
Excuse me, Sir, are you going my way?
Alas, my human body is bound
upon this thawing, sacred ground
called terra firma.
but..
My dreams can fly!
As I peer into the laughing face of Sunshine, teasing us from moment to moment..
With Nature as my muse, you see?
But vigilance and care must reign
or all was labor thus in vain.
We must not let the forever sun set on the Creator’s gift.
Ask not for whom the bell tolls.
It tolls for thee and me and we,
but never they…
For Nature always finds a way…….

Happy #Free48 everyone.
In a moment it could all change,
a life and its contents rearranged.
In the blink of an eye
without knowing why
reality shifts,
the rifts
in time grow wide
we slip inside,
swallowed up
to rise
with eyes
wide shut…
again
and
again.
When will we learn?

I have been so discouraged that the majority of people I meet and speak to daily care nothing about what the future holds-for our planet, our country, or our mental and emotional well-being. It would seem people are most comfortable complacently assuming things will somehow just work themselves out. And I meet so few ready to fight for a better way, not even willing to speak out for it. I long to live on an island, not be an island surrounded by a sea of heartless humans…
(The Enya is for you, Debbie. We shared everything. Still miss you so much.)
Sunshine…
On my shoulders…
in my eyes….
Peering, peeking…
Quietly sneaking
across the sky…
Hours pass as, hardly speaking, we pursue our quest
and duly blessed, find the treasure we were
seeking.
Our souls are quenched as nature flows around, beneath and above…
“Where two or more of you are gathered in my name, there is a church.”
Cross over the bridge
join the choir
dance with joy
and be baptized.
Passing through the cathedral towers,
thankful for those languid hours
Emancipation, realization, appreciation, purification,
bring salvation.
And a mighty fine dinner at home…
I hope you enjoyed our day, courtesy of Sweetwater Creek State Park.
Imagine me
not what you see-
naked, shivering, withered tree
still donning bits of finery.
My skin gone rough and graying
and the ground beneath decaying
where my roots are firmly planted
as my spine grows bent and slanted.
Close your eyes…
try to recall,
the kiss of Fall
so sweet he made us blush
and feel the golden rush
of girlish delight!
His nimble hands did thus caress,
so wild, untamed and wreckless
we danced, to light the sky!
‘What need for garments?’,
freedom urged
and thus, unfettered,
body purged
of wrappings,
those trappings
that tame the spirit,
fool the mind,
the eye…
the passersby shook their heads
and grinned instead of
placing blame,
”Oh what a shame,”
was all they said.
Such loveliness once on the trees
lay now in shreds around their knees.
Brazen beauties!
Remember me,
when thus you see
the gnarled skin-
what lies within
remains the same-
everlasting,
till Spring plants a kiss-
such bliss!
Then comes the blush,
yet now the hush
of naked truth
is cold and silent.
In Winter’s keep
doth does she sleep
with dancing dreams
of gold and green.
”Sweet May,”
yawns she,
“Imagine me.”

Mother nature has it all-an endless palette and eternal vision. She does some of her best work in this season!
If only she would clean up the mess when she’s done….😏
