More than what you see
this mystery of me,
beyond illusion
life’s delusion
in dusty haze
its sultry ways
deceptive
protective
lest you look too close,
lest you find
there behind
the buzz and fluff
and busy stuff
a soul so bare-
Do you dare
look inside
where it hides
shivering,
quivering…
hoping you see,
the truth that is me-
more.
