A blink…
A flash…
a whisper…
A wink.
A breath..
A sigh…
In the twinkle of an eye..
As softly passing by,
Life nods and grins
at the child within
our eager souls.
repeat.
rewind.
Of like
and kind
we circle back on all
we thought we learned and knew-
so bound by emotion,
our devotion to the dream
reigns supreme before all
options-
may the odds be
ever in our favor..
as we savor
sweet surrender
to the bonds so
warm and tender-
silken chains,
we are engrossed
in the stories that we write
with blood and tears about
this so called Life.
A scream,
a heartbeat,
a giggle,
a moan
and the flutter of wings
will carry us home…
