Remember Me
Remember me,
tho nevermore
my face you’ll see,
for I will still
abide with thee
in shadows long-
unfettered-free,
reaching
towards eternity,
yet will I come
if only ye
have need and lonely
call to me-
thus to your side
and swiftly!
forever where I long to be.
Hear my voice in
the cicada serenade,
feel my touch in
sunlight on your skin,
see me in the smile of a child-
running wild,
for shall I be!
Do not weep,
when ’ere you sleep,
for we shall meet
in dreams as sweet
as honeysuckle dew
Remember me,
I’ll not forget you.

This is wonderful and I hope to share it on Memorial Day if that is ok with you… I have lost more then my fair share in this life time and I love the ending… because that is what we all want deep down inside to know that the ones on the other side are still wanting to be with us.

It’s sad, and moving. Much like being at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington.

It was heartbreaking to see so many unmarked stones and knowing how young they were.
