Todayโs post is doing double duty since we spent the better part of yesterday shopping in the โbigโ town.โI missed Danโs #ThursdayDoors prompt on Thursday but hopefully can swing in under the wire.โStop by his place today for some news about Skippyโs recent project. Thanks for the chance to enjoy a drink on the fun side of the bar, Dan!
Iโm also hitting Linda Hillโs #SoCS prompt.โTodayโs word is watch. Visit Lindaโs blog to read more great posts and join the fun.

This is quickly becoming my favorite door. This Ninja Foodie Digital Air Oven has been an answer to prayer for my space limited kitchen. So far everything Iโve attempted with it has been a success. AND it tells me when itโs cool enough to flip up for more counter space! ๐ฅฐ I think Iโm in loveโฆ

I used the dehydrator function yesterday. Good thing we left for the day or I would have been tempted to watch it for 8 hours!

The lemon and orange slices came out perfect. I added tajin seasoning to the oranges for tequila shots and margaritas and sugar to the lemon slices for water or gin and tonics! Yeah, I truly am a bartender at heart. ๐

I couldna let the post end without sharing this bit of our day with ye.โ๐What a surprise, and the scran was braw!
(If any of that goes over your head you might need to watch Outlander. Iโm so into the series now that I donโt want it to end.) The odd thing is that before I found this series on Netflix I had added a Scottish influenced character to Book Two. Synchronicity at work. Happy Saturday all!

I am salivating! I started with the outlander books more than 30 years ago. You should check them out. I enjoy the series but the booksโฆ

Oh gosh, Cheryl, I love, love, love Outlander. The newest seasons come out on STARZ, so I always sign up for a month or two and watch all of the episodes. I love the Scottish/Gaelic words they speak, like “ken” for know and everything else that I have to look up. Beyond that, though, Outlander is such an awesome love story, with historical fiction thrown in, and I will be sad when the series ends after season 8.

OMG! Are they still filming? I have seasons 1-5 on Netflix and am in Season 2 now. Without as much brutal violence, I think youโre going to like Book Two, Mary. I always thought I had roots or another life in Ireland, but now I ken differnetly.

Yeah, there is a season 6, 7A, 7B (coming soon) and season 8, which will be the end. I think they are filming the last season now, but I will be sad when it ends. I hear they are making a prequel about Jamie’s mom and dad, but not sure when that will be done and available.

I haven’t watched any of the series, but read the books.โI think it mean it was really good.
Those lemon and oranges slices look great and I’m sure the drinks will be tasty too.

Woo hoo! You slipped this in just under the bell, Cheryl. Although, I’d never say your post was too late. That oven sounds like a dream come true. Great door, good looking food and it sounds like you had a wonderful day.
