Passion or pain,
tell me again
why I surrender
without a thought
of what I ought
to expect,
no regret,
for blood runs hot
and soon is forgot
the sting of sorrow
left for tomorrow
when ‘ere you are gone
leaving me here alone
with naught but a glint
and the sultry scent
of frenzied lust
and dauntless trust,
drunken I wait,
and anticipate
the passion,
the pain
like wine,
so fine..

When I took these photos I was amazed by what I first thought could be a mother and offspring, then looking it up, perhaps an attack by a smaller bee. Then, after further research it seems it is what my camera led me to intuit. This seems to be a mating, although the little guy may have set his sights too high. Within seconds she tired of the game; and with a flick of her wings sent him flying as she moved on to other pleasures. Happy Saturday and welcome to the Free 48! I hope you will visit Linda Hill’s blog for more inspiration about today’s #SoCS prompt, which was fine.
Give guy credit for trying.
Beautiful words and photo, Cheryl. Enjoy the free 48.
