Sweet Poison/Poetry

Sweet Poison

A taste of honey,
you linger on my tongue
like nectar sweet.

Let me drown
in the smell, the feel
of ecstasy complete.

I cannot breathe
nor think, the heady
scent of you surrounds.

My senses sharp
the air cuts my flesh,
deafening silent sound

of you-
here, gone.
In dreams
I scream
into white clouds
of dreaming torture.

Sting me, pierce my
soul with love’s
intoxicating draft.

The venom welcome,
numbing, tingling-
Do I cry or wildly laugh?

Or die
and fly
beyond
the pain..
here comes the rain
again.
