On the Road to Quepos

On the toad to Quepos

Once you reach the Jaco beach area and continue on to Quepos/Manuel Antonio, the ocean views are around every corner and breathtakingly lovely

From our scenic stop we can view Jaco Beach in the distance. Many people end up in Jaco, never realizing there is another beach area not far away just past the fishing town of Quepos.

Jaco is a bustling surfer beach town with plenty of restaurants, both chain and local fare. Our favorite is a little line service type open air place just off the beach that serves typical Costa Rica Casados. It is called Jaco Rustico. We try to catch lunch there whenever we are In the area. Don't let the lines scare you. there always seems to be a table by the time we make it through with our loaded trays. This is also a great time for souvenir shopping as there are multiple shops along the main road that carry anything you could possibly want.
